Trip

Lake Kawaguchi by Dario Branco

This is probably my last post about Japan. I wanted to finish this chapter all at once. Here and on Instagram. Today is going to be more about me than the trip itself. For that, I am more or less sorry.

I mean I had to have a reason for going to Japan right? As a photographer, I wanted to photograph Mount Fuji. It is an iconic landscape that not trying would be a waste of time. I also wanted to be in a place where I would feel how Japanese people used to live, and still do. For me, these small details made all the difference.

Getting around in Japan by Dario Branco

Happy New Year Everyone.

Hope everything is well with you and that you are ready for what is up ahead.

For this first 2019 post, I want to give you some tips on how to get around in Japan. As always these tips are the ones that worked for me.

Before I start I been thinking that on my previous posts, mainly the ones from Thailand, you don’t want to know what I have done. I started to think of it on what I look for. Not what someone did but how they did it.

So let’s begin?

JAPAN by Dario Branco

What an amazing three weeks I had in Japan.

It is hard to say anything new or unexpected about Japan other than you have to go there to experience for yourself.

Still, I am going to try to tell you about my overall experience. I will try it to keep it nice and quick for now and over time tell you how I traveled around Japan.

MADEIRA by Dario Branco

Hello friends? All good since last time?

It’s been a while since I updated you guys about anything. You know how it goes. Working a bit more than usual, not a lot to share or talk about. But I do, sometimes have a life, and I do like to go on adventures.

As you probably guessed by the title, the island of Madeira was my latest adventure.

I wanted to edit and post process all the photos before I could share with you where to go, where to eat, what to explore, how to get around, but since I arrived in Lisbon, I had no time to focus on the photos. I also don’t want to wait too long so I am taking a few hours to inspire you guys to travel to Madeira.

Between March and July: Paris, Rome and Porto by Dario Branco

It has been a while since the last post. I know I said I would give my final thoughts on my trip to Switzerland but I am saving it for another time.

Meanwhile, i have been so busy with work that even if I wanted to write about Switzerland, I couldn't because I have no time.

Finally, I managed a few minutes to write about my previous months.

Bangkok by Dario Branco

Back to Bangkok this time for more than a few hours.

I am not sure what to think about Bangkok. To be honest it has been hard writing about it. I think that in the end, the city didn't captivate me.

After this post, there are still a few things i want to talk about the photos i made and why i made them. For now, i just want to finish talking about my experiences.

Phi Phi Island by Dario Branco

Happy New Year friends. Hope 2018 will be an amazing year for you all.

With that out of the way is time to finish writing about my trip to Thailand. I will be writing today about Phi Phi island and latter about Bangkok.

There is not a lot to talk about Phi Phi Island. Is a touristic shit show. From all the places I went this was the one I liked the least. Too crowded, too noisy and not a lot to see.

Phuket by Dario Branco

Maybe the way I traveled across Thailand was not the best one, meaning starting in Bangkok, go to Chiang Mai, back to Bangkok to get to Phuket and finish again in Bangkok. But it was the cheapest way and more efficient I found.

Now that I had experienced Chiang Mai it was time to get to Phuket. It was also time to be on my own. My friend had decided to visit Cambodia instead. I was a bit jealous but i don't regret staying in Thailand.

Thailand by Dario Branco

Here I am tired, trying to finally get some rest and recover and can't find the words to write about Thailand. Not because I can't, but because there is so much to say. But I want to do it now while everything is fresh in my mind.
