Over the years i been wasting money trying to find the best gear to make my life more practical when i am traveling. All the way from backpacks, passing through cutlery and finishing up in small card reader/adapters.
On my last trip to Porto Covo, i realized that it is possible to carry very minimal gear and still be able to achieve great results. For this small list i will not include Cameras, Drone and my travel Tripod. I am focusing on the smaller gadgets and it should be no surprise by now that i am carrying at least the Fuji X100T every time i go somewhere new.
If you know anything about me and the photography I like to make, you have noticed that I focused only on street photography during my time in Thailand. Sure, i did a few landscapes but nothing like i usually do.
At first, i thought about going to a few locations for landscapes. My idea was to go to the rice fields during sunset but once i realized that it was going to take more time then i wanted i decided to only do street photography and do landscapes from the places i was. Also, i didn't want to carry around my Canon 5D and all the stuff that comes with it. That is why i decided to take only the Fuji X100T with me for this trip.
Maybe the way I traveled across Thailand was not the best one, meaning starting in Bangkok, go to Chiang Mai, back to Bangkok to get to Phuket and finish again in Bangkok. But it was the cheapest way and more efficient I found.
Now that I had experienced Chiang Mai it was time to get to Phuket. It was also time to be on my own. My friend had decided to visit Cambodia instead. I was a bit jealous but i don't regret staying in Thailand.
Here I am tired, trying to finally get some rest and recover and can't find the words to write about Thailand. Not because I can't, but because there is so much to say. But I want to do it now while everything is fresh in my mind.
Something that I always felt guilty of, is that I don't know Portugal as well as I should. Is my country after all.
Last year i wrote down a list of places i wanted to visit in Portugal. Since then, that list is getting bigger, more diverse and not only focused in Portugal. The first place I wrote down on it was Vila Nova de Milfontes. It has been a place i wanted to go to make photos ever since i started photographing.
Recently I went back to Paris. I went on a job. I have been there a few times and sadly I don't know and haven't seen much of it.
It is always a good feeling going to work in a different country for a few days. It is always a good opportunity to learn and get to know a new place. I think i been to Paris at least four times. Every time I was there I was always working.
First of all, I want to apologize for being offline the last few weeks but now I am back for good.
Second, time to talk about my trip to Cinque Terre.
It is useless to say that Cinque Terre, a group of five small towns, Riomaggiore, Manarola, Corniglia, Vernazza and Monterosso al Mare, is one of the most picturesque places in the world. At first, I wanted to go and spend one day at each town but soon I realized that I could see all of them in three days. Four days the most if I took one day to hike the Via del Amore and Sentiero Azzurro.
