If you know anything about me and the photography I like to make, you have noticed that I focused only on street photography during my time in Thailand. Sure, i did a few landscapes but nothing like i usually do.
At first, i thought about going to a few locations for landscapes. My idea was to go to the rice fields during sunset but once i realized that it was going to take more time then i wanted i decided to only do street photography and do landscapes from the places i was. Also, i didn't want to carry around my Canon 5D and all the stuff that comes with it. That is why i decided to take only the Fuji X100T with me for this trip.
Maybe the way I traveled across Thailand was not the best one, meaning starting in Bangkok, go to Chiang Mai, back to Bangkok to get to Phuket and finish again in Bangkok. But it was the cheapest way and more efficient I found.
Now that I had experienced Chiang Mai it was time to get to Phuket. It was also time to be on my own. My friend had decided to visit Cambodia instead. I was a bit jealous but i don't regret staying in Thailand.
On my previous posts about New York, I mention several times that I wanted to do specific photos in specific places.
I know they are very cliché. That didn't stop me from doing them. My goal was to have two or three photos I could print, framed them and start conversations about it when I have friends at my home. Besides those places the ones, i enjoyed the most were taken on the streets.
In case you haven't noticed i been away for a few weeks traveling. Since this is supposed to be a travel blog, i think is time to talk about traveling.
Before digging in, this will be the first part of four. I want to focus on how it was planned, the gear and the photos.
All good adventures/stories have an unexpected start. This one started in May of 2016. I was in Paris working and after making hard but needed decisions i started talking with some friends about stuff. One of them is a friend from University, we know each other for at least 12 years and she also has a passion for traveling. After a few minutes, i asked what about going to New York on New Year's Eve?
In five minutes we knew we were going. The main reason, it was much less expensive than we were expecting. And to be honest is New York.
